Paleomap

   This is a paleogeographic reconstruction of the southwestern United States produced by Dr.

Ron Blakey.  It shows Utah, 1100 million years ago, with mountains across the north and east

part of the state.  A shallow sea invaded the low areas in the western side of the state.
