Every year the Geology Club gives out both
serious and silly awards at the annual
Department Awards Banquet. Awards that are
given out annually include:
Best (actually worst) Driver Award- given to
students and faculty that have had driving
accidents during the past school year.
Service Recognition Awards- given to those
who have helped the Geology Club by giving time
or service
Best Undergraduate Student Paper Award-
department faculty select the best paper from
each class and a committee set up by the Geology
Club determines the best one from those
nominated.
Occasionally other awards are given such as
the best dressed faculty member or cool/casual
professor or whatever. It changes every year.
