You can create aliases in the new Route Y Post Office v3. Aliases are email addresses that you create that will go to a single account. For example, John Doe could create an alias called johndoe@byu.edu, or jdoe@byu.edu, and all his email would be sent to his real BYU email address, jd21@email.byu.edu. |

In Route Y, click on 'Email Alias Manager'. |
|
On a 'Create' line, enter the prefix of the alias you would like to create.
Then select either 'byu.edu' or 'byu.net' as the suffix of the alias.
Enter the email address you would like your alias to forward mail to, and
click 'Make Changes'. To remove an alias, just select the 'Remove' radio button associated with the alias you would like to remove, and click 'Make Changes'. |
Now, all email addressed to the alias you have created will be sent to the email you have specified. In this example, email sent to myalias@byu.net (or any of the other aliases listed) will actually be sent to mynetid@email.byu.edu.
