The following lab policies are intended to promote courteous and sensible behavior and to protect the computer equipment:
- Report computer problems and system errors promptly.
- Please do not bring or consume food or drink in the lab or near the computers in the grad offices.
- Please don't install software, drivers, screen savers, games, etc., of any sort
or make changes to any system files or options on the computers.
- Keep the lab secured by keeping the door locked and not giving out the door code or
your password.
- Personal items are not to be stored or left unattended in the lab except for very brief periods (10-20 min). Please clean up the area around the computer when you are finished using it.
- Please use earphones when listening to radios and other music players.
- All personal files are to be saved on removable diskettes or on your network drive, not on the hard drives of the lab computers.
- Failure to observe any of these policies may result in the loss of your computer privileges in the department.
